I spent some time this week while I couldn’t work in the house working on the garage wall that you can see from the kitchen. Before it was a complete eye sore and was not even secured to the rest of the garage. It was covered with asphalt shingles and was generally in bad shape.
All the shingles off, rotted boards repaired and paint stripper applied to the I-beam:

I-beam sanded once and first few rows of cedar shingles up:


Shingles finished, I-beam primed (looks pretty good in that color I think), door and window primed:


I am waiting for my Maryland flag stained glass transom to go in above the kitchen door before I decide what to do color wise with the shingles, door/window, and I-beam.
All in all I think its a huge improvement. Just need some privacy fences, to finish my furniture project, and a grill and I should have a passable patio for the time being.
